Albo can’t muster up the courage to talk to us.
Keep the Sheep campaigners said that Anthony Albanese deliberately used security to circumvent their attempts to peacefully protest the Government’s ban on live sheep exports at the weekend. His embarrassment was on display when he snuck out a side entrance instead of facing the music.
Campaigner Holly Ludeman said the refusal to speak to the group and use of security to keep them away was disappointing.
“We wanted to let Albo and his MPs know that we won’t give up until the ban is reversed and this is just a taste of what Labor MPs can expect at the election.”
Keep the Sheep had set up with signs to peacefully protest the ban with farmers and their families present and at the PM’s appearance at the Ellenbrook train station opening, where they were moved on and asked to cease and desist by Perth Transport Authority.
“We spoke with the police, who were supportive, and told them we would continue to be respectful. All we want to see is the ban overturned,” Ms Ludeman said.
“We spoke with hundreds of Perth families, who understand that this ban is already hurting their country friends. If someone you speak to at the train station for five minutes can understand and appreciate this, why can’t Albo?”
